Who we are
Eventrika (eventrika.com) is operated by T&A Software Solutions ("we", "us"). By creating an account, buying a ticket or otherwise using Eventrika, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Statement. If you don't agree, please don't use Eventrika.
You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live if that's older, to create an account or buy tickets.
Organizers sell the tickets
Eventrika is software that lets event organizers sell tickets to their own events. The organizer puts on the event, sets the prices, the refund policy and the entry rules, and is the seller of the tickets. When you buy a ticket you buy it from the organizer: the charge is made on the organizer's own Stripe account, and your card statement shows the organizer's name, usually with the event.
We provide the event pages, seat maps, checkout, tickets and check-in tools. We don't run the events, and we aren't responsible for whether an event happens as described. That's between you and the organizer.
Buying tickets
Prices and fees
A ticket price shown on its own on an event page already includes our service fee, so it's what you pay for that ticket. Optional add-ons show their own price, and any fee on them is part of the Fees line at checkout. Before you pay, checkout breaks your total into tickets, fees and add-ons, and the total is what your card is charged.
Holding seats
Each event's organizer sets when ticket sales open and when they end. Once sales have ended, tickets for that event can't be bought, even ones already in your cart.
Seats you pick are held for you for a short time, shown by the timer on screen. If it runs out before you finish, the seats go back on sale. To keep tickets available to everyone, organizers can limit how many tickets one person may buy or hold at once, and we limit how many seats one browser or network can hold.
Codes and invitations
Promo codes, member codes and invitation links come from the organizer and follow the organizer's limits. A member discount and a promo code don't stack: when both apply, you get whichever is better.
Paying
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach us. Your card is charged when you complete checkout. If your payment goes through but we can't issue your tickets, for example because the last seat or add-on went to someone else a moment earlier, or because your connection dropped before checkout could finish, we refund the payment in full.
We email your tickets to the address you give at checkout, so check it carefully. Until the event, you can have them sent again from Find my tickets.
Buying at the door
Organizers can also sell tickets at the event itself: from their staff, in cash or by card, from a kiosk at the gate, or through a sign you scan to buy on your own phone. Door sales open when the organizer chooses, before the event starts, and run until it ends, even after online sales have closed. The organizer may charge a different price at the door. Paying by card at the door works like paying online, fees included. Cash is paid to the organizer's staff, not to us: we only record the sale. At a staff screen or a kiosk your name and email are optional; without an email your tickets are shown on screen, and we have nowhere to send them again.
Demo events
Events marked as demos are examples. Nothing is sold, no card is charged, and demo tickets aren't valid for entry anywhere and can't be transferred.
Your tickets
A ticket is permission to attend the event under the organizer's and the venue's rules. Each ticket has its own QR code and private link, and anyone who has them can use the ticket, so keep them to yourself.
One ticket admits one person, once. The first scan at the door is the one that counts.
You can transfer a ticket to someone else for free from its ticket page, up until it's scanned or the event starts. A transferred ticket gets a new QR code, ticket number and link, and the old ones stop working. From then on it belongs to the person you sent it to: your order page shows it as transferred, and Find my tickets sends it to them, not to you.
A refunded ticket stops working. Eventrika doesn't run a resale marketplace; the organizer's rules decide whether tickets may be resold.
Refunds, cancellations and changes
Refunds are the organizer's decision, under the organizer's refund policy, and we don't issue refunds on an organizer's behalf. Each event's refund policy is shown on its event page, at checkout and in your confirmation email; where an organizer hasn't written one, refunds are at the organizer's discretion. To ask for one, write to us through the support form and we'll pass your request to the organizer.
When an organizer refunds your order on Eventrika, you get back everything you paid for it, service fee included, on the card you paid with. Banks usually take 5 to 10 business days to show a refund. If you paid in cash at the door, the organizer gives the cash back to you; we only record the refund.
When an organizer cancels an event on Eventrika, every order for it is refunded in full the same way, and we email each buyer, and anyone holding a ticket transferred from their order, to say so. Those emails can take a day or more to reach everyone on a large event. If an event is postponed or changed instead, the organizer is responsible for telling ticket holders and for any refunds.
For organizers
Your account and your team
We approve new accounts before they can sign in, and we decide who can create organizations and who belongs to them. You're responsible for what everyone with access to your organization does there. Owners and Admins can refund orders, and only an Owner can set up payouts.
Getting paid
You're paid through your own Stripe account, which an Owner connects from your organization's Payouts page. Every ticket sale is charged directly on that account: you're the seller (the merchant of record), your organization's name appears on buyers' card statements, and money reaches your bank on Stripe's payout schedule. We never hold your ticket money. Your Stripe account is governed by your own agreement with Stripe, the Stripe Services Agreement (including the Stripe Connected Account Agreement where it applies), which you accept when you connect. You let us share information about you, your organization and your sales with Stripe as needed to set up and run that account. You can't take paid orders until Stripe has enabled your account to accept them.
Our fee
We charge a service fee: currently 5% of each order (the tickets after any discount, plus paid add-ons) and $1.29 for every paid ticket. Free tickets carry no fee, and neither does an order that comes to $0. The fee includes Stripe's standard card processing, so a standard card payment carries no separate processing charge. For each event you choose whether buyers pay the fee on top of your price ("Buyer pays the fees") or it comes out of your price ("Poster Price"). Card sales at the door carry the same fee. Tickets you sell for cash at the door carry no fee: that money never passes through us or Stripe, and we only record the sale. Refunding a cash sale records it here; you give the cash back yourself. Our current rate is always on the Pricing page. If we've agreed a different rate with you in writing, that rate applies to your organization.
Stripe charges for some things outside standard card processing, such as international cards, currency conversion, disputes, and the processing fee Stripe keeps when a payment is refunded. Those come out of your Stripe balance under your agreement with Stripe.
We'll give you at least 30 days' notice before a fee increase applies to your events, and a change never affects orders already placed.
Refunds and disputes
You refund whole orders from your Orders page. The buyer gets everything back, service fee included; we return our share of the fee to you, and Stripe keeps its processing fee. If you refund a payment in your Stripe dashboard instead, we return the matching share of our fee too. A full refund there cancels the order here and its tickets stop scanning; a partial one leaves the tickets working, and your Orders page shows how much went back. Chargebacks and disputes on your sales are handled in your Stripe account and are your responsibility.
Cancelling or changing an event
Cancelling an event on Eventrika refunds every order for it in full, as if you'd refunded each one, and stops its tickets scanning. We email every buyer, with your message if you write one; we send these a few at a time so ticket and sign-in emails keep working, so on a large event some buyers hear the next day or later. A refund Stripe refuses leaves that order paid for you to refund again. Only Owners and Admins can cancel an event that has orders. Changing an event's date or details after tickets are sold refunds no one: tell your buyers yourself.
Your events and your content
You're responsible for your events: that they happen as described; that your prices, refund policy and any entry or age rules are clear to buyers (each event has a refund policy field, and buyers see what you write there before they pay); that you have the rights to everything you upload, such as names, descriptions, images and logos; and that you follow the laws that apply to you, including taxes on your ticket sales. We don't collect or pay taxes on ticket sales for you. You let us display your event content on Eventrika, including your event pages, your organization page, the homepage search and emails about your events, to run and promote your events.
Your buyers' information
You'll see your buyers' email addresses and order details. Use them only to run your events and to talk to your buyers about them, keep them secure, and never sell them. You're responsible for how you use anything you take out of Eventrika.
Using Eventrika fairly
Please don't:
- use bots or scripts to hold, buy or check tickets, or hold seats you don't mean to buy;
- guess promo codes, member codes, ticket links or passwords, or try to get into accounts or areas that aren't yours;
- interfere with checkout, ticket inventory, check-in or the site itself, or test its security without our written permission;
- place fraudulent orders or use payment details that aren't yours;
- upload anything unlawful or misleading, or anything you don't have the rights to;
- scrape the site or use the support form for spam.
We may cancel holds, refuse orders, and suspend or close accounts that break these rules or put buyers, organizers or Eventrika at risk.
Accounts and security
Keep your account details accurate and your sign-in secure: your password, your passkeys, and the email inbox that receives your sign-in codes. If you think someone else has used your account, tell us through the support form straight away.
You can stop using Eventrika at any time, and deactivate your account from your account settings. We deactivate accounts rather than delete them, so the orders, payouts and tax records tied to them stay available. A deactivated account can't sign in; to use it again, contact us through the support form. If you're the only owner of an organization, it goes inactive with your account: its events stop selling and leave Eventrika's listings, while tickets already sold still work. If you're an organizer, leaving doesn't end what you owe the buyers of tickets you've already sold.
The service
We work to keep Eventrika available and accurate, but it may be unavailable at times for maintenance, updates or problems outside our control. We may change, add or remove features.
We check organizers' business addresses against ZIP code data from GeoNames, used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license.
Disclaimers and limits
Eventrika is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we disclaim every warranty not written in these terms, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We aren't responsible for events, for what organizers or venues do, or for the content organizers publish.
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability to you for any claim about Eventrika is limited to the greater of the service fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, or takes away consumer rights you can't give up.
If you're an organizer, you'll cover our reasonable costs, including legal fees, if someone brings a claim against us because of your event, your content, or your breach of these terms or the law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio and the United States, without regard to rules that would apply another place's law. Any dispute about Eventrika or these terms will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Ohio, and you and we agree to those courts' jurisdiction. If you're a consumer, this doesn't take away any protection the law where you live gives you and can't be waived by contract.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and we'll email organizers about changes that affect them before those changes take effect. An order is governed by the terms in place when it was placed. If you keep using Eventrika after a change, the new terms apply to you.
